Hyderabad: Rain lashed the city for the second consecutive day on Wednesday, causing brief disruptions in several areas.According to data from the Telangana Development Planning Society, parts of Hyderabad recorded moderate to light rainfall. Hayathnagar emerged as one of the wettest pockets with 31.5 mm of rainfall, followed by Vanasthalipuram (24.8 mm). Defence Colony in Hayathnagar received 22.5 mm, while areas like Madhura Nagar (14.3 mm), Lingoji Guda (10 mm), and South Hastinapuram (9.3 mm) saw steady showers. Uppal recorded 6.5 mm, while several other localities reported light rainfall below five mm.Across the state, higher rainfall was recorded in a few districts. Tiryani in Kumuram Bheem district topped the chart with 48.8 mm, followed by Hayathnagar in Rangareddy (31.5 mm) and Madgul in Vikarabad (27.3 mm). Other areas such as Yacharam, Balanagar, and Ghatkesar also received moderate rainfall ranging between 18 mm and 24 mm.The weather department has forecast thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds at isolated places across several districts, including Adilabad, Kumuram Bheem Asifabad, Nizamabad, Warangal, Siddipet, Rangareddy, Hyderabad, and Medchal-Malkajgiri.For Hyderabad, a partly cloudy sky is expected, with light to moderate rain or thundershowers likely towards evening or night. Gusty winds may occur, while temperatures are expected to hover around 37 degrees Celsius (maximum) and 23 degrees Celsius (minimum).
