Vijay Thalapathy’s next film, ‘Jana Nayagan’ hit another roadblock prior to its theatrical release as the internet saw HD quality clips from the film being leaked on social media. Since then, several stars and filmmakers have come in solidarity to share their concern over piracy and leaked footage surfacing online. Recently, ‘Dhurandhar’ star R Madhavan shared that the issue is “heartbreaking and troubling.”
R Madhavan calls the leak ‘heartbreaking’
Actor R. Madhavan shared his feelings after seeing the news. He agreed with Suriya Sivakumar on X (formerly Twitter) and wrote, “I totally agree and this is extremely heartbreaking and troubling. How are people getting away with this. Please respect the hard work of all the people involved in this Film. Please do avoid watch it on the pirated platforms.”Earlier, Suriya had also posted about the leak. He wrote, “Heartbreaking and unfair — an entire team’s passion reduced to this. I request you all with honesty, please don’t watch, share, or discuss the film here. Respect their work. I stand with my friends and condemn the act, it’s unforgivable! #JanaNayagan.”Meanwhile, earlier, multiple stars, including Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Chiranjeevi and more.
Makers announce legal action
Earlier, the makers also shared that they will be taking legal action and asked fans to circulate or watch the clip. “We, KVN Productions LLP, are the Producers and exclusive copyright owners of the cinematograph film “Jana Nayagan”. It has come to our notice that certain scenes and clips from the said film and in some cases most of the film have been illegally accessed, copied and circulated by unidentified persons, posing a serious threat of digital piracy,” they wrote.

About ‘Jana Nayagan’
‘Jana Nayagan’, directed by H Vinoth, was supposed to release for Pongal but got delayed due to certification issues. The makers said the delay caused huge losses. The film has a big cast, including Bobby Deol, Pooja Hegde, Mamitha Baiju, and others. The film was planned as Vijay’s final film before politics.
