A French Rafale fighter jet shot down a drone over Latvia on June 8, according to officials, after the aircraft allegedly entered Latvian airspace from Russia during NATO’s Baltic Air Policing mission. Reports said the incident happened near Berzgale, around 30 km from the border, prompting Latvian authorities to issue an air threat alert and advise some residents to remain indoors.
