BARNALA: A man died of a suspected heart attack while waiting in a long queue to obtain an LPG cylinder in Sehna village of Punjab’s Barnala district on Friday morning.The deceased, identified as Bhushan Kumar, had reportedly joined the queue outside an LPG distribution outlet at around 5am. According to eyewitnesses, Kumar collapsed around 7.50am while standing in queue. The incident occurred amid widespread panic buying of fuel and LPG cylinders across several parts of the country. Long queues have been reported at petrol pumps and LPG distribution centres as consumers rush to secure supplies due to fears of shortages linked to the ongoing crisis in West Asia.The rush has overwhelmed the booking systems of oil marketing companies, with distributors reporting repeated server crashes due to an unprecedented surge in refill requests.
