Dhanbad : In a major crackdown on the criminal network of fugitive gangster Prince Khan, Dhanbad police on Sunday attached the property of his kin and close associate, Rittiq Khan. The attachment was carried out at Qamar Makhdumi Road in Wasseypur by a police team from Bhuli outpost under Bank More police station. Abhinav Kumar, the officer-in-charge of Bank More police station who led the operation, said attachment was executed following court orders as Rittiq Khan has been absconding since 2019. “He is wanted in two cases under the Arms Act registered in 2019. Despite earlier notices pasted on his residence directing him to surrender before the court, neither he nor his family responded within the stipulated time,” he said.Prior to the operation, police completed all legal formalities and issued a stern warning against any interference during the process. The entire action was carried out amid tight security arrangements. Rittiq is believed to be a close associate and brother of notorious gangster Prince, who has been operating his gang from Dubai for several years. Wanted in multiple cases of extortion and organized crime, Prince reportedly extorts businessmen in the coal belt through international calls.Sources confirmed that the Ministry of External Affairs has also initiated proceedings to bring Prince back to India. His overseas operations and local network remain a matter of concern for law enforcement agencies in the state.
