HYDERABAD: BJP MP from Malkajgiri, Eatala Rajender, on Saturday announced that he is now prepared for a straight fight-not a street fight. Without naming anyone directly, Rajender distanced himself from ‘political conspiracies’, asserting that his career is built on integrity and a strong track record.Speaking to his supporters from Huzurabad at his residence in Shamirpet, Rajender stressed the importance of leadership development within the party. “If leaders don’t grow, the party won’t move forward,” he said.He rallied his cadre to actively participate in upcoming local body elections. “You don’t need a party symbol to win. Go ward by ward-win them all,” he urged, adding that his presence is felt in every village of Huzurabad. “This is the land of Telangana’s fighting spirit. From now, the fight here is direct. Not a street brawl. The people have elected me seven times-now it’s time to give back. We’ll contest and fight for every local seat.“I may stay silent, but never weak: Eatala Although he didn’t take names, his remarks were widely seen as a veiled swipe at Karimnagar MP Bandi Sanjay, with whom he has had a long-running rivalry. Earlier, some of Rajender’s supporters alleged that Sanjay was obstructing their efforts and that the party was sidelining Eatala’s team.Rajender announced plans to open an office in every mandal of Huzurabad to strengthen the party at grassroots.Reflecting on his political journey, Rajender recalled taking on powerful leaders including YS Rajasekhara Reddy, Kiran Kumar Reddy, and K Chandrasekhar Rao. “As finance minister in BRS, I worked for backward communities. The BC conclave I organised led to the creation of residential welfare schools. I never feared people in power. Like the sea before a storm, I may stay silent-but never weak,” he claimed. He said the people were his judges and reminded the crowd that Prime Minister Narendra Modi chose Malkajgiri, his constituency, for his first campaign rally in South India. “Modi doesn’t work for individuals. He builds systems,” he said.On ‘betrayal’On social media campaign targeting him, Rajender said he is aware of the negativity and is compiling a report for party leadership. “They must take these issues seriously,” he added. He concluded with a sharp remark on betrayal: “It’s one thing to fight an enemy, but it’s far harder to deal with those who stab you in the back. Politics is full of people who thrive on pulling others down. But we must stand tall and fight back.”
