Prayagraj: The PCS 2024 final result declared by the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission has turned into a map of statewide representation, with successful candidates emerging from 73 of the 75 districts of the state. Uttar Pradesh candidates have overwhelmingly dominated the PCS 2024 final result declared by the UPPSC, with 862 (92.48%) of the 932 successful candidates belonging to the state. Only 70 selected candidates are from other parts of the country.Among the highest contributors is Prayagraj with 46 candidates, followed by Kanpur Nagar with 39. Agra has 26 successful candidates, Ayodhya 24, Bareilly and Jaunpur 22 each, Ghazipur 21, and Deoria, Ghaziabad and Mau 20 each. Strong numbers are also seen from Ambedkar Nagar (19), Rae Bareli and Banda (18 each), Basti, Meerut and Pratapgarh (17 each), and Azamgarh and Bijnor (16 each).Districts such as Kushinagar (15), Aligarh and Fatehpur (14 each), Varanasi (14), Ballia, Gorakhpur, Firozabad, Mathura and Lakhimpur Kheri (13 each) have also recorded notable representation. Sitapur and Mirzapur have 12 candidates each, while Amethi, Gonda and Moradabad have 10 candidates each in the selection list.Several districts have contributed in single digits, including Barabanki (8), Hamirpur (8), Bulandshahr, Chandauli, Sonbhadra and Sultanpur (7 each), Etawah, Shahjahanpur and Maharajganj (6 each), Baghpat, Bahraich, Muzaffarnagar, Balrampur and Jalaun (5 each). Even districts like Chitrakoot, Kaushambi, Pilibhit and Sambhal have three candidates each.Smaller contributions are seen from Kannauj, Kasganj, Mahoba and Kanpur Dehat with two candidates each, and Farrukhabad with one.Officials said the results reflect Uttar Pradesh’s geographic diversity in administrative selections. Among candidates from outside the state, the highest number is from Madhya Pradesh with 20 successful candidates. This is followed by 18 from Haryana and 12 from Bihar.Delhi has nine candidates in the selection list, including the topper. Five candidates are from Uttarakhand, while two are from Rajasthan. Additionally, one candidate each in the selection list from Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Maharashtra and Punjab has figured in the final merit list, reflecting a modest but notable national footprint in PCS 2024 results.
