T’puram: Renowned Karnataka magician Prakash Hemmady is coming to the city with his adventurous Milk Can Escape act. He is performing the act as part of declaring Magic Planet operated at Kinfra Film and Video Park, Kazhakkoottam, as ‘Houdini’s Magic Planet’. The performance will take place at Manaveeyam Veedhi at 5pm on Saturday. The act involves being bound with numerous chains, locked inside a water-filled milk can, and escaping in an instant.This year commemorates the 100th death anniversary of Harry Houdini, the originator of escape magic. Magic Planet, plans to operate under the name Houdini’s Magic Planet from March 1 to October 31 as a tribute to Houdini. Different art centre executive director Gopinath Muthukad will announce the project on Saturday. Ahead of the announcement, Challenge Your Limits programme will be held at women’s college, Vazhuthacaud at 11.30am on Friday. The event will feature a novel presentation combining a video based on Houdini’s life and magic. Additionally, film director Prajesh Sen will deliver a message. Following this, adventurous acts led by martial arts expert Abhish Dominic will take place. TNN
