Earlier in the day, Vishnuvardhan and his classmates had appeared for their board examination in Kothapet. After the exam, he and two friends reportedly borrowed a motorcycle belonging to another student from Vanasthalipuram for a short ride. The trio rode towards the 100 Feet Road in Nagole. “While one of them got down to take photos, the other two went for a ride. Due to rash driving, the bike hit the divider and both the youngsters fell on the road. Vishnuvardhan who was riding the bike died on the spot with a head injury. Pillion rider suffered a leg fracture,” said Nagole inspector Mohammed Maqbool Jani. Vishnuvardhan’s father, P Buchibabu, told police that his son did not know how to ride a bike and urged them to investigate how the minors gained access to the vehicle. “The bike belongs to the elder brother of the victim’s classmate who is in Chennai. The bike was taken from home without the knowledge of the family members,” the inspector said. Police registered a case under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
