Another case was filed against Shankar Kumar of Sahnewal for developing the Vanya Enclave, an illegal colony. Similarly, Sukhdev Singh, Balraj Singh, and Kirpal Singh, also residents of Sahnewal, were booked for developing the same colony, Vanya Enclave.Darshal Lal, another developer from Sahnewal, was also booked for developing an unauthorised colony in the name of Community Colony. The fifth case was registered against Saravjit Bhatia for developing an unauthorised colony in the name of Bhatia Colony. The police have taken cognizance of these cases and will likely conduct a thorough investigation to determine the extent of the violations. The registration of these cases highlights the authorities’ efforts to crack down on illegal colonies and ensure that developers comply with the law. The cases will likely serve as a deterrent to other developers who may be tempted to flout the rules and regulations governing the development of colonies.
