Madikeri: Kodagu district police have busted a racket that was involved in the sale and supply of narcotics in Virajpet town. Acting on specific information about the sale of marijuana near Heggala Junction of RG Village near Virajpet, a raid was conducted on Tuesday, in which four persons were arrested on charges of sale and supply of narcotics, police said. Police seized drugs and legal action was taken, SP Bindu Mani said in a release.A case has been registered against the accused under Section 20(B) of the IPC at Virajpet town police station, and they have been produced before the court. The arrested are Harshad Khan, 25, of Shanti Nagar, Mysuru; Muzamil Ahmed, 46, and Apsal Pasha, 28, both from Aziz Sait Nagar; and Saqub, 32, from Kalyangiri in Mysuru, police said.576 g of ganja and one car were seized from them. Virajpet DYSP Mahesh Kumar, CPI Anoop Madappa, Virajpet Town PSI and others conducted the raid.
