Alwar: Alwar’s Special Pocso Court-1 Monday sentenced two accused to life imprisonment (till death) and imposed a fine of Rs 28,000 on both for luring a minor girl and gangraping her.Pocso Court-1 Presiding Officer Judge Javendra Agrawal, after hearing the case, pronounced his verdict. While pronouncing the judgment, the court observed that the act by the accused is a heinous crime and has a negative impact on the society.
In the case, the prosecution presented statements of 22 witnesses and 26 documents in court. Govt lawyer Vinod Sharma said the victim’s mother filed a report at a police station in Alwar district on Nov 7, 2024. The mother’s report stated that her 14-year-old daughter had slept at home on the night of 6 Nov, but when she went to wake her up for tea the next morning, she was missing. The family suspected a young man and reached his house. however, he was also missing. The matter was reported to the police and a search was initiated. After the girl was found, she told the police that the accused took her to Bhiwadi with his friend. She was kept in a room for several days and both accused gangraped her.
