Bhubaneswar: The cases of 16 out of 68 pensioners and family pensioners, who took part in home department’s first Pension Adalat, organised by the office of principal accountant general, Odisha, were resolved on Thursday.The ‘adalat’, held on OSAP 7th Battalion campus in Chandrasekharpur here, provided a dedicated platform to pensioners to place their long-pending grievances directly before the officials concerned. During the day-long programme, the 16 beneficiaries, whose cases were resolved on the spot, were handed over the authorised PPO, GPO and GPF-related documents.Saumyendra Kumar Priyadarsi, additional director general of police (modernisation), said this was the first such Pension Adalat organised by the home department.The programme also included facilitation and sensitisation sessions to guide pensioners and officials on procedural compliance and timely settlement of pension cases.
