Thiruvananthapuram: Parassala police on Friday arrested a man, accused of swindling lakhs of rupees through cyber fraud, in Bengaluru. The accused Arun, 22, a native of Parassala, was absconding for months.Acting on intelligence that he was hiding in Bengaluru, SI Deepu and team reached the city and tracked him down from a luxury flat where he had been staying. Police said he had been frequently shifting locations to evade arrest. During an earlier search at his residence in Parassala, police had recovered several documents, including multiple bank account details, passbooks, cheque leaves, ATM cards and SIM cards believed to have been used in cyber fraud operations. Police suspect he has links with international cyber fraud networks. Further investigation is under way.
