Udaipur: Police evacuated the entire premises of Udaipur district court and conducted a search along with bomb disposal squad Monday after a threat via e-mail to blow up with the court with 5 bombs simultaneously was received on the mail ID of the district and sessions judge office.The e-mail arrived at 6:32am but employees saw it only when the office opened hours later. The email stated that 5 bombs would be blasted simultaneously in the court premises at 1pm. The employees informed the district and sessions judge and also notified police. Being a Monday, the court was heavily crowded, with lawyers ready with their files and people waiting for their hearings. The sudden police movement alarmed everyone, as police and security personnel began evacuating lawyers and all people present one by one. Police later informed everyone that a threat to blow up the court premises was the reason for the evacuation.Senior police officers led the search in different sections of the court. Every corner was searched, from courtrooms to the canteen and parking area, police said. The anti-terrorist sqaud (ATS) of police also conducted an inspection at suspicious locations. However, the teams did not find any suspicious object anywhere.
