“Asha ji ki tareef mein kuch bhi kehne ke liye main bahut chhoti hoon. Unka jaana hum sab ke liye ek aisi kshati hai, jiska bharpaai kabhi nahi ho paayegi. Lekin apne peeche jo sangeet ki viraasat woh chhod kar gayi hain, use aane waali kai peedhiyan prerit, protsahit aur prabhavit hongi. (I am too small to even sing Asha ji’s praises. Her demise is a huge loss for all of us, which can never be truly filled. But the musical legacy she has left behind will continue to inspire, encourage, and influence generations to come),” said Palak Muchhal. Then, in Asha ji’s loving memory, she sang these lines from her song:“Agar main ruk gayi abhi to ja na paogi kabhi,Yahi kahogi tum sadaa ki dil abhi nahi bhara,Jo khatam ho kisi jagah yeh aisa silsila nahi,Abhi na jao chhod kar ki dil abhi bhara nahi.”
