Bokaro: Reinforcing the message of fitness and sustainable living under the Fit India Movement, Bokaro Steel Plant organised the SAIL-Bokaro Cyclothon 2026 on Sunday. The event witnessed participation from over 600 cyclists from Bokaro and nearby areas.The cyclothon was flagged off by BSL director in-charge Priya Ranjan in the presence of other officials. “The 14-km ride commenced at 6:30 am from near the Archery Training Centre in Sector-4. Participants completed two laps of a designated route covering key city points such as Patharkatta Chowk, Ram Mandir Chowk, Rajendra Chowk and Gandhi Chowk before returning to the starting point. Adequate arrangements for security, drinking water and medical assistance were ensured along the route,” said Manikant Dhan, BSL spokesperson.Ranjan said the initiative aims to encourage citizens to adopt cycling as a healthy and environmentally sustainable mode of transport, while raising community participation and promoting a culture of active living.
