Chennai: Former chief minister O Panneerselvam on Wednesday flayed AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami, alleging that the party’s election manifesto lacked credibility and was aimed at deceiving the people.At Bodinayakanur, OPS told reporters that the manifesto could not be trusted as many of the promises made during EPS’s tenure remained unfulfilled. “The election manifesto released by EPS has no credibility. After facing more than 10 consecutive electoral defeats from the R K Nagar bypoll to the 2024 Lok Sabha election, he is now announcing bundles of promises only to cover up those failures,” he said.He further alleged that EPS is not acting on his own and that key alliance decisions were being ‘dictated’ from Delhi. “The fact that some allies are contesting under BJP’s lotus symbol are signs that the AIADMK alliance is not under EPS’s command,” OPS said.tnn
