Patna: The NDA has strongly condemned the opposition’s protest and uproar while wearing black clothes in the assembly on Tuesday. BJP state president Dilip Kumar Jaiswal said the opposition’s behaviour not only hurts the dignity of the House, but it is also injustice to the people of Bihar and insult of democracy. Countering the allegations of ‘backdoor NRC’ and ‘voter deprivation’ being levelled by the opposition, Jaiswal said they are trying to defame the special intensive revision (SIR) of the electoral rolls, while no genuine voter’s name is being deleted. Deputy CM Samrat Choudhary said those who are with Bihar and against illegal infiltration are also with the SIR.JD(U) state president Umesh Singh Kushwaha said when the matter is pending in the Supreme Court, then disrupting the House proceedings and disregarding parliamentary decorum is undemocratic. Health minister Mangal Pandey said they (opposition) held back the development of Bihar for decades. “Creating ruckus, noise and chaos on unnecessary issues is the basic character of RJD, Congress and the Left,” he alleged.Road construction minister Nitin Nabin condemned the unruly behaviour of the opposition in the assembly. He said while the state govt is consistently working for public welfare and infrastructure development, the opposition is attempting to distract the public and weaken democratic institutions.Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) national president and minor water resources minister Santosh Suman said the opposition was creating a ruckus in the House to deny the development of Bihar.
