Patna: The manifesto committee of the INDIA bloc’s alliance partners held an extended meeting at the Congress office here on Monday, which continued late into the evening. The discussions will resume on Tuesday, according to Congress state media cell head Rajesh Rathorre.The meeting was attended by representatives from the RJD, Congress, the three Left parties and Mukesh Sahani’s Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP), as they prepare a joint manifesto for the upcoming Bihar assembly elections scheduled for later this year.Rathorre said Congress manifesto committee in charge Amitabh Dubey and RJD MP from Buxar, Sudhakar Singh, along with other committee members, deliberated on key issues raised during statewide consultations.“The Congress has held over 300 meetings across Bihar with different sections of society to understand the real problems people are facing. These inputs will be incorporated into the common manifesto to counter the NDA,” Rathorre added.Those present at the meeting included Sudhakar Singh (RJD), Amitabh Dubey and former IPS officer Karuna Sagar (Congress), Prof Dinesh Sahni (VIP), Meena Tiwari and Abhyudaya (CPI-ML), Sarvodaya Sharma (CPI-M) and M Jabbar Alam (CPI).
