Jaipur: The ongoing controversy regarding hockey in Rajasthan has now come to an end. After the recent decision of the Rajasthan High Court, Jodhpur, it has become clear that now only the teams selected by Hockey Rajasthan will participate in the national competitions of Hockey India.Hockey Rajasthan president Arun Saraswat told media in a press conference here on Friday that in the order issued on April 1, the court has amended its earlier decision and made it clear that the Rajasthan Hockey Association does not have the right to send a team to represent the state.The decision had an immediate impact. The teams sent by the Rajasthan Hockey Association were turned away from the Hockey India Sub-Junior Nationals (Girls) in Ranchi, Jharkhand, and the Sub-Junior Nationals (Boys) in Rajgir, Bihar.Saraswat said that Hockey India has also made it clear that Hockey Rajasthan is their only recognised organization in Rajasthan. Furthermore, Hockey Rajasthan is also recognised by the Rajasthan Olympic Association. He explained that since 2010, Hockey Rajasthan teams have been representing the state in national-level competitions, and now, after the court’s decision, the situation has become completely clear.
