Varanasi: Municipal Commissioner Himanshu Nagpal on Thursday conducted a site inspection in Maidagin, Beniyabag, Sarnath and other areas to identify new parking sites and review beautification projects.He directed the Smart City and the VMC officials to prepare proposals for parking near Townhall premises, improve pedestrian movement, beautification work at Maidagin intersection, and uniform-design model for vending zones on these routes.At Rajnarayan Smarak Park, Beniyabag, the commissioner warned the executing agency for maintenance of the park. Additionally, Smart City officials were directed to prepare proposal for a tourism facility centre, golf cart parking and charging station in front of Rajnarayan Smarak Park, Beniyabag. They were also asked to identify sites for model vending zones and food streets in Sarnath and Ashapur areas. tnn
