Nagpur: A former HR executive with a jewellery company and a practising numerologist jumped from the terrace of her residence at Tatya Tope Nagar on Thursday evening. The police rushed her to a private hospital but succumbed to her injuries at 4am on Friday.The deceased, Reshma Rawatkar, 51, was divorcee and was in a live-in relationship with her former colleague.The partner told police that frequent quarrels over suspected infidelity, combined with pressure from neighbours, drove her to take the extreme step. The couple was engaged in heated exchanges throughout Thursday, it is learnt. On being informed by some locals, the police tried to intervene and pacify the duo.The case was initially registered as accidental death at Bajaj Nagar police station, leaving a trail of suspicion and questions over the circumstances.
