Gadchiroli: Skilled work payments under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MNREGA) for eligible workers in Gadchiroli district are being processed through the central govt’s SNA Sparsh payment system, state govt informed the legislature on Wednesday.Gadchiroli MLA Dr Milind Narote, through a starred question, had questioned the govt on the issue saying pending payments are causing financial hardship to farmers and labourers.In a written reply, employment guarantee minister Bharat Gogawale denied any delay and said that over Rs 609 crore was disbursed in Gadchiroli over the past three years — Rs 378.47 crore for unskilled wages and Rs 231.04 crore for skilled work.Gogawale said Rs115.86 crore is currently being processed — Rs 21.58 crore for unskilled wages and Rs 94.28 crore for skilled work — through new fund transfer orders (FTOs) being prepared under the Centre’s SNA Sparsh system.For 2025-26, a total of Rs 2,936.85 crore has been made available — Rs 2,217.53 crore from the Centre and Rs 719.32 crore from the state. Additionally, Rs 1,409 crore from the Centre for unskilled wages is being processed for distribution, the minister said.
