State-owned iron ore producer NMDC has raised the price of lump ore by ₹150 per tonne effective September 9.
The new price is ₹5,400 per tonne. The price of Fines has been kept unchanged at ₹4,500 per tonne, a filing by the company on Wednesday (September 9, 2026) showed.
The latest revision comes on the back of the company reducing prices of the key raw material of steel two months consecutively. In the previous revision on August 8, NMDC had fixed the per tonne price of Lump ore at ₹5,250 and Fines at ₹4,500. Prior to that, effective July 10, it set them at ₹5,450 and ₹4,700 respectively.
These are FOR prices exclusive of royalty, DMF, NMEDT, cess, forest permit fee, transit fee, GST, environmental cess and other taxes.
