Nagpur: A naked body of an unidentified man, who was prima facie murdered after smashing his head with stones, was found near Lava crematorium on Khadgaon Road under Wadi police station limits on Friday morning.The body, discovered around 10.30am, is estimated to be of a 50-55-year-old male. Bloodstains at the scene indicate that the man had sustained severe injury to the forehead, apparently from a heavy blow with a stone.The victim was completely naked, with only a black thread tied around his right wrist. Investigators also recovered a bearing-like object, possibly a spare part of a machinery, near the spot.Wadi police suspect foul play and have asked nearby stations to review missing persons records. The man’s identity has not yet been established. Senior inspector Nitin Charde said a detailed investigation, including CCTV footage analysis and local inquiries, is on.
