Nagpur: The Nagpur division emerged as Maharashtra’s top-performing region in revenue mobilisation for 2025-26 financial year, achieving 104.58% of its target, driven largely by strong collections from minor minerals. Against a combined target of ₹1,033.41cr under land revenue and minor minerals, the division collected ₹1,080.76cr, divisional commissioner Vijayalakshmi Bidari said. The performance comes despite structural constraints in land revenue generation across districts. Officials said the shortfall was offset through higher recovery from minor minerals, reflecting a strategic shift in revenue mobilisation.
