Chappell Roan is the new face of MAC Cosmetics’ Viva Glam 2026. Photographed by Inez & Vinoodh with creative direction from MAC’s Global Creative Director Nicola Formichetti, the campaign spotlights a French Revolution-inspired beauty story with makeup by Andrew Dahling. Roan is also unveiling three limited-edition lip shades: UnNatural Red Head, Roan of Arc and Damnsel. U.K. Watchdog to Review eBay’s Depop Purchase

Britain’s competition regulator said it would begin formally reviewing ‌eBay’s planned acquisition of Depop. In February, eBay announced its plans to buy Depop from Etsy for about $1.2 billion, ​and the purchase is expected to close ​this month. The Competition and Markets Authority said the deadline for its phase 1 investigation was ​Aug. 6, after which it would ​decide ⁠whether to clear the deal or refer it for a more in-depth investigation. {Reuters}

As investors grow more selective, deal activity in fashion has slowed, but not entirely disappeared. Luxury groups that were acquisitive in the past have stepped back, while private equity is constrained by higher interest rates and uncertain exits, Eric Sylvers writes for Business of Fashion. FDA Approves New Sunscreen Option for the First Time in 25 Years

On Tuesday, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) added bemotrizinol to the list of permitted sunscreen active ingredients, marking the first new active ingredient added to the over-the-counter sunscreen monograph since the late 1990s. Bemotrizinol, which protects against ultraviolet A and B rays, has been marketed as a sunscreen ingredient in Europe and many countries around the world for years. {FDA}
