Mumbai: Shiv Sena MP Ravindra Waikar has urged the railways to restore Dadar as the originating station for the Dadar-Ratnagiri passenger train. He also asked that the service be extended till CSMT. The train’s starting point was shifted to Diva during the pandemic. In a letter to the railway minister, Waikar said lakhs of people have been using this train for the last 25 years to travel between Mumbai and Konkan and the decision to shift it to Diva was taken unilaterally. He said people now have to take local trains to Diva to board the Konkan train. TNN
