Chikkamagaluru: Chandrashekar, a 55-year-old motorist, died on the spot in an accident in Narasimharajapura taluk on Monday. The incident took place near Madaboor village, when his two-wheeler hit a car in an attempt to avoid a pothole.Blaming MLA T D Rajegowda for the poor condition of the road, the locals staged a protest by planting banana saplings on the street. Former minister D N Jeevaraj blamed the state govt and the local MLA, and stated that it has become difficult for the people of Malnad to commute on the stretch.“There is no value for human life in the Sringeri assembly constituency. The MLA has failed to take measures to fill potholes on roads developed by him,” Jeevaraj said, adding: “Potholes on roads and wild elephants at farms pose a threat to people.”
