Gurgaon: A man was injured after a car allegedly driven by an intoxicated person collided head-on with his motorcycle on CRPF Road near Kheda ki Dhani on April 4 night.The victim, Manoj Adhana of Kadarpur village, was returning home around 9.30pm when a Swift car coming from the opposite direction hit his motorcycle. The impact threw him off the bike, leaving him injured on the road.In his complaint, Adhana alleged that the driver was under the influence of alcohol and behaved arrogantly after the crash. He further claimed that the driver identified himself as a CRPF personnel and said no action could be taken against him. “He was working at the CRPF camp and said that he is in the CRPF police and nobody can do anything to him,” the complaint stated.Passers-by and family members rushed him to Artemis Hospital in Sector 51. He was later shifted to a private hospital in Sector 30 for further treatment.Police said they received information from the hospital and collected the medico-legal case (MLC). The victim recorded his statement on April 7 after being declared fit by doctors.A case has been registered under Sections 281 (rash driving) and 125A (act endangering life) of BNS at Sector 65 police station.“We are verifying the allegations, including whether the driver was under the influence of alcohol. Efforts are underway to trace and identify the accused,” an officer said.
