Times News NetworkMohali: The Mohali district court stayed the sentence of Shahbaz Singh Sohi, husband of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Anmol Gagan Mann, late on Thursday evening. On March 16, a Dera Bassi court sentenced Sohi and his two associates to two years in prison in a cheque bounce case of Rs 3.5 crore. Shahbaz Singh Sohi’s lawyer Vikramjit Passi said the sessions court has stayed the decision of the trial court and has also accepted his appeal. However, a detailed order is still pending, after which more information will be available.Shahbaz Sohi is also a lawyer by profession. Apart from Sohi, the court also convicted his partners, Jatinder Singh and Nashtar Singh. The case relates to a housing project company.
