Patna: Bihar BJP chief Sanjay Saraogi on Sunday said Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi’s 8,931 days in public life, from his tenure as Gujarat CM to his present national role, exemplify ‘karmyog’ and unwavering dedication to national service, adding that Bihar has also benefited from his leadership since May 2014.“The 8,931 days of public life of PM Narendra Modi represent extraordinary willpower, tireless hard work, discipline and unwavering dedication to the nation. His life exemplifies the true spirit of selfless ‘karmyog’, where every moment and every decision is devoted to national service,” Saraogi said, adding that PM Modi has “surpassed the record of (Sikkim CM) Pawan Kumar Chamling, who served for 8,930 days, thereby becoming India’s longest-serving head of govt.”Saraogi described the PM’s working style as “exceptional”, marked by “long hours each day dedicated to nation building”. He also referred to him as “rising from humble beginnings to the highest office in the country”, who has demonstrated an “extraordinary personality and firm resolve”.“His leadership is not only decisive but also compassionate, with a deep understanding of the needs of the poor, deprived and those at the last mile,” Saraogi said.“Bihar has witnessed a new era of development. Central govt welfare schemes have brought tangible improvements in the lives of millions, particularly among the poor and marginalised sections of society,” Saraogi added.“Bihar has also witnessed remarkable progress in infrastructure development. The expansion of national highways, modernisation of railway networks, construction of bridges and enhanced connectivity have accelerated the state’s growth,” Saraogi said, while pointing out that the state’s “progress is a direct result of the PM’s focused governance, clear policy direction and unwavering commitment to development.”Lauding the PM’s commitment to the uplift of the poor, deprived and marginalised sections, Saraogi referred to central schemes such as Jan Dhan, Ujjwala, Ayushman Bharat and PM Awas Yojana, as well as his broader vision of achieving Viksit Bharat by 2047 with ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishas, Sabka Prayas.’ He also described PM Modi as the “most popular leader not only in India, but also across the world”, which has also “enhanced the nation’s prestige.”Saraogi described the PM’s “public life as a source of inspiration for all” and said that “under his leadership Bihar, along with the entire nation, will continue to progress towards development, good governance and prosperity.”
