Gurgaon: A 29-year-old woman, who worked with a city-based multinational company, was found dead at her rented accommodation in DLF-3’s V-block on Wednesday. Police, who found her hanging from a ceiling fan, suspect suicide as the cause of death.No suicide note was recovered by the police, who registered a case under Section 194 of BNSS. No formal complaint has been lodged by the family of the deceased, who was a resident of Najafgarh in Delhi yet. “We are checking her social media activity and speaking to her colleagues to gather more information,” a police officer said, adding, “While there are no signs of forced entry or the involvement of another person, we are examining all possible angles.”The woman worked at the MNC for an unspecified duration. According to officials, the incident came to light after the caretaker of the paying guest (PG) reported a foul smell emanating from her flat. A police officer said, “The smell was present for two days but became significantly stronger on Wednesday afternoon, prompting the caretaker to alert us.” Upon reaching the scene, police found the main door locked from the inside. They broke it open and discovered the woman hanging from the fan.She was alone in the flat at the time. The body was sent for post-mortem and later handed over to the woman’s family.
