Srinagar, March 09: The Meteorological Department has issued a weather forecast for Jammu and Kashmir, predicting generally cloudy conditions with light rain and snow in higher reaches at scattered places on March 9.
The forecast indicates that March 10-11 will see light to moderate rain and snow at many places, with moderate snowfall possible in higher reaches of Kupwara, Bandipora, Ganderbal, Anantnag, and Kishtwar.
Temporary traffic disruptions are likely over higher reaches and important passes in these districts. Farmers are advised to suspend farm operations during March 10-12.
The region is expected to experience a fall in day temperature by 4-6°C after March 9, with generally dry weather from March 12-15. There’s also a possibility of thunder and gusty winds (30-40 KMPH) during March 9-11.
The weather is expected to remain generally cloudy with light rain and snow at isolated to scattered places on March 16-18.
