Srinagar, feb 7 : The weather in Jammu and Kashmir is set to remain generally dry till February 8, with no major rain or snow forecast in sight till Feb 16.
According to the Meterological Centre Srinagar, the next few days will see partly cloudy skies, with light rain or snow possible at higher reaches on some days.
From February 7-8, the region is expected to remain generally dry, followed by light rain/snow at few higher reaches towards night on the 9th. The 10th is likely to be generally cloudy with possibility of light rain/snow and gusty winds at many places.
February 11th: Partly to generally cloudy with possibility of light rain/snow at few places. From Feb 12-13, MeT Predicts Generally dry weather and on February 14-16, the Weather will remain Generally cloudy with possibility of light snow at isolated higher reaches.
Travelers and transporters are advised to confirm road/highway status from concerned traffic units and follow admin advisories, while residents in snow-bound areas are cautioned against venturing into sloppy and avalanche-prone areas.
