Guwahati: The University of Science and Technology Meghalaya (USTM) held the inaugural ceremony of the AIU East Zone Inter University Handball Tournament 2025-26 at its sports complex, formally launching an inter-university championship conducted under the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).The tournament drew participation from nearly 50 universities, with about 75 teams from across the East Zone taking part.
Wailadmiki Shylla, minister of health and family welfare, home (passport), sports and youth affairs, attended as the chief guest.
