Rohtak: Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU), Rohtak, on Monday revoked the suspension of Prof Naseeb Singh Gill from the department of computer science and applications. The decision, approved by vice-chancellor Somnath Sachdeva and notified by registrar Krishan Kant, allows Prof Gill to resume duties immediately.According to the official order, the suspension issued on Feb 17 has been declared void ab initio. The university administration stated that the revocation was made after due consideration and in accordance with established rules and procedures.The order has been circulated to the head of the department of computer science and applications, the finance officer, and offices of the vice chancellor, registrar and DAA for information and necessary action. Relevant branches have been directed to update official records to reflect the reinstatement.The decision has reportedly been welcomed by teachers and staff members of the university. On Feb 17, both registrar Krishan Kant and Prof Gill were placed under suspension ahead of the 304th meeting of the university’s executive council.
