New Delhi: Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) on Thursday suspended the former deputy commissioner of Shahdara North Zone, Lt Col Abhishek Kumar Mishra, three days after the CBI arrested him for allegedly accepting a Rs 4 lakh bribe.Along with this, MCD has also cancelled Mishra’s six-day leave for a trip to Vietnam.MCD has assigned the tax assessor and collector, Mamta Yadav, IAS, to an additional responsibility as deputy commissioner of this zone. Yadav is a 2021 batch IAS officer. She has prior experience of working as deputy commissioner in Keshavpuram and City SP Zone.Additionally, MCD has given ITS Mohit Bansal the additional responsibility of deputy commissioner of Keshavpuram Zone. He holds the responsibility of IT director.“For the smooth functioning of the MCD, the work amongst the officers in MCD is allocated with immediate effect to the above officials till further orders are issued,” states the official order issued on Thursday by the director (personnel).
