Gorakhpur: Panic gripped the Baghihari area along the Pipiganj-Baghihari highway after the body of a middle-aged man was found inside a parked car on Friday morning.Police have identified the deceased and sent the body for postmortem examination. According to the police, the body was found in a parked Hyundai i20 (UP56BA0015) near Baghihari area along the highway. Passersby noticed the car standing suspiciously by the roadside and informed the police. A team from the local police station reached the spot and began a preliminary investigation.The deceased has been identified as Dhanesh Jaiswal (around 50), a resident of Nautanwa in Maharajganj district. His body was found lying on the rear seat of the car.During inspection of the vehicle, police recovered a liquor bottle, cold drink, burger and plastic glasses from the car. However, no visible external injury marks were found on the body.The police said the initial assessment suggests that the man may have fallen ill after excessive alcohol consumption, leading to his death. However, the exact cause will only be confirmed after the postmortem report is received.A forensic team also reached the spot and collected evidence from the vehicle and surrounding area. Circle Officer Anurag Singh of Campierganj and Pipiganj SHO Arun Kumar Singh said investigators are also trying to ascertain whether anyone else was present in the car with the deceased at the time of the incident.
