Mangaluru: The Mangaluru International Airport (MIA) won Airports Council International (ACI) World’s 2025 Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Award for Best Airport at Arrivals, globally, securing the honour for the second year in a row after receiving the same recognition in 2024.The ASQ Awards are based on real-time passenger feedback gathered through ACI’s independently administered survey programme, and are widely regarded as a key benchmark of airport customer satisfaction. The arrivals category assesses the inbound passenger journey, including immigration, baggage delivery, terminal ambience, cleanliness, wayfinding, and overall comfort.
In 2025, MIA was one of six airports worldwide selected in the Best Airport at Arrivals – Globally category. The airport attributed the recognition to continued process optimisation, digital initiatives, service training, and coordination with govt agencies and other partners aimed at improving operational efficiency and passenger experience. The frontline teams and stakeholders were also credited for maintaining service levels reflected in passenger survey results under the ASQ framework. The award will be presented at the ASQ Awards Ceremony in Istanbul, Türkiye, on Sept 2, during ACI World’s Airport Experience Summit scheduled from Aug 31 to Sept 4. ACI World said 100 airports will be recognised across categories this year, with 195 awards to be presented.
