Rajkot: A quarrel over a barking pet dog led to a police complaint after a city man allegedly abused and threatened his neighbours in Junagadh, police said.Vinod Kansara, 64, a retired teacher, filed a complaint at Junagadh C Division police station against his neighbour, Jenti Koli, alleging repeated harassment of his family. Both families live in Asopalav Society near Madhuram Timbawadi Bypass.Police said that around 2pm on March 3, Koli allegedly began shouting from his window, complaining that the Kansaras’ pet dog was barking and disturbing his sleep. He allegedly used abusive language against Kansara’s wife, Jayshree. Sensing trouble, the couple avoided a confrontation and went inside their house.At 11am on March 4, the family’s domestic helper, Hansa, was attending to the dog in the compound when Koli allegedly stared at her from his balcony and verbally abused her after she questioned his behaviour.When Jayshree stepped outside to dispose of the garbage, Koli allegedly abused her and threatened the family, demanding that they vacate the house.Police registered a case of obscenity and criminal intimidation against Koli.
