KALYAN: In a shocking incident, a man allegedly strangled his wife to death in Kalyan and later travelled to Nashik where he confessed to the crime at a police station. The accused, identified as Vishal Bhutkar, allegedly killed his wife Archana on Wednesday in the Umbarde area of Kalyan following a domestic dispute. According to police, Bhutkar fled the city soon after the crime and went to Nashik where he met his brother. On Thursday, his brother brought him to the Sarkarwada police station in Nashik. During questioning, Bhutkar allegedly told the police that he had strangled his wife at her residence in Kalyan, Nashik police immediately contacted the Khadakpada police in Kalyan to verify the claim.
