Chennai: An unidentified man escaped with cash after stealing a donation box (hundi) from a Sai Baba temple in Mylapore. The temple, located on Karaneeswarar Street in Mylapore, operates on the ground floor of a house owned by a resident named Sivasankar.According to reports, the suspect reportedly entered the temple and made away with the hundi kept inside. It is believed that the hundi contained a few thousand rupees in cash at the time of the theft.The entire incident was captured on a CCTV camera installed at the premises, and the footage has now gone viral. A complaint has been filed at the Mylapore police station along with the CCTV evidence. However, the suspect has not yet been arrested.
