Balasore: A Mayurbhanj court on Monday sentenced a 36-year-old man to life imprisonment for the murder of his wife following prolonged dowry-related torture.The case dates back to April 22, 2022, when Anjali Singh (30), a resident of Pandara village under Jharpokharia police station limits, was found dead under suspicious circumstances. Her husband, Kahnu Singh, was accused of subjecting her to repeated physical and mental abuse over dowry demands, ultimately leading to her death.The couple had two children at the time of the incident. Following the verdict, Kahnu Singh was taken into judicial custody.
