Gorakhpur: Wedding festivities turned into tragedy when two youths, including the groom’s brother, were killed after their car rammed into a tree under the Bariyarpur police station limits in Deoria early Tuesday.According to police, the car crashed into a tree near Ghataila Ghazi on the Sonughat–Mahuani road. The crash was so intense that the vehicle was left mangled, with both passengers stuck inside. With the help of residents, police pulled the two youths out of the wrecked car, but they had already died. The deceased were Atul Kumar Pandey (30), a resident of Jethahasi village, and Akash Pal (25), a resident of Sathiyaon village. Police said Atul’s brother’s wedding procession had gone to the Hata area of Kushinagar district on Monday. After the ceremony, Atul was on his way to drop Akash at his residence. TNN
