Ghaziabad: A 35-year-old man was arrested on Friday for allegedly killing his co-worker at a dairy in Teela Mod after the two got into an argument over cow dung.On Wednesday morning, police received information that the body of 40-year-old Sunil Kumar was discovered in one of the rooms at Kamdhenu dairy in Ristala. Kumar had been employed at the dairy for around six months.Kumar’s brother Veerwal filed a police complaint in the matter later that same day, alleging that an unknown person had struck Kumar on the head with an axe, killing him. An FIR was subsequently registered under Section 103(1) (murder) of the BNS at the Tila Mod police station.ACP (Shalimar Garden) Atul Kumar Singh said that a team was formed to trace the accused. Investigation led police to Dakshraj alias Heera, a resident of Mirzapur.On Friday, based on a tip-off from an informant, police arrested Dakshraj from his room at Kamdhenu Dairy. “The woollen jersey T-shirt, with blood stains, worn by the accused at the time of the murder and one blood-stained axe were recovered from the accused’s possession,” ACP said.According to the ACP, The accused told cops that he had a dispute with Kumar on Tuesday over washing milk cans and collecting cow dung. Later that night, the accused found Kumar asleep in his room at the dairy and struck him dead with the axe.
