Nagpur: The Beltarodi police arrested one Abhijeet Chaudhary, 23, a resident of Ajni, for allegedly raping a 22-year-old woman, hailing from Madhya Pradesh, after spiking her drinks on multiple occasions between May 17, 2023, and May 25, 2025. As per the complaint filed by the woman, she had met Chaudhary on social media, after which he frequently visited her home. Chaudhary allegedly threatened to make her obscene photos viral if she resisted his advances. He continued the assaults and defamed her by posting the photos on social media, said police.
Police registered a case under Sections 64(1) and 352(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, along with Section 66 of the Information Technology Act for cyber-related offences.
