Mumbai: Three children were safely rescued after being trapped in a lift due to a technical malfunction at a Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) building in Kasarvadavali on Sunday evening.According to the Disaster Management Cell of the Thane Municipal Corporation, the incident was reported at around 7:18 pm from the Ovla Fire Station. The mishap occurred in the B-wing of a ground-plus-12-storey TMC building at Kasarvadavali village on Ghodbunder Road in Thane.The lift reportedly got stuck at the fourth floor with three children inside. The children were identified as Sanskrit Shingade (9), Karan Kagda (15) and Rohit Kagda (16).Fire brigade personnel rushed to the spot with a rescue vehicle along with a lift technician. With the assistance of local residents, the team rescued all three children in about 10 minutes.Officials said no one was injured and the children were safely evacuated.
