Ludhiana: District election officer and deputy commissioner Himanshu Jain on Wednesday directed all political parties to apply for permission for poll-related activities, including rallies and meetings for the Ludhiana West byelection, exclusively through the Election Commission‘s ‘Suvidha’ portal.In an official statement, the district administration described the Suvidha portal as a single-window system designed to streamline approvals for campaign events, vehicle use, loudspeakers and other election-related activities. Jain stressed that parties must strictly adhere to the model code of conduct and avoid any speeches or actions that incite hatred or communal tension.
